CHOCKABLOCK CLOCK
46’ x 13’ x 9’
Harrisburg, PA
Located in the heart of Pennsylvania's capital city, this sculpture is a highlight of the Strawberry Square shopping district. Balls climb 46 feet to the second level of this large space so that visitors can see the complex movements up close on both stories. Colored wheels spin, pleasant chimes ring, and moving balls mesmerize.

HAVING A BALL
12' x 8' x 1'
Pittsfield, MA
This audiokinetic ball sculpture in Allendale Shopping Center delights young and old alike. Woodwind pipes add to the music as balls move windmills on their exciting trip back to the ball lift. This piece sits right next to a glass elevator, allowing passengers to view the action while they ride up and down.

"There is no question in my mind that George Rhoads is the most appropriate work for public spaces being done in America today. I put them in shopping centers because it makes a better day for people no matter who they are - rich or poor, educated or not. They get enjoyment out of it, talk about it, and then others come out to see it, too."
